Professional Year Program (PYP) is a comprehensive professional development programme for international students who have graduated in Engineering/IT/Accounting from an Australian university/college that combines formal learning and work experience. It also gives you the opportunity to earn extra 5 points for permanent residency on completing the programme successfully.
It is a 52-week work-readiness programme overseen by Professional Bodies and authorised by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP). Students develop workplace skills, become familiar with Australian workplace norms and values, as well as the Australian job market and workplace culture, over the course of 52 weeks, and complete an internship placement to improve their career prospects in Australia.
