Australia is one of the top three preferred destinations for international students pursuing higher education. With its high academic standards and internship programmes, Australia is known for its success stories in assisting foreign students in achieving their career goals.
Because Australia’s economy is strong and growing, every foreign student hopes to take advantage of the different paths to permanent residency. Skilled migration, State Nomination, and Employer Nomination Scheme are three of the most common options.

Every year, Australia’s Department of Home Affairs publishes a list of skilled occupations to support the need for higher skills in the country’s economy. Every 1st of July, Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) and Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL), are revised and released which are reviewed by the Department of Employment.

International students who complete a course related to an occupation on the Australian Skilled Occupation List have a better chance of being granted Australian PR (Permanent Residency).
